Growing up with music was an important part of her life, she was able to truly appreciate the many avenues and genres. Playing the piano and having those classically trained roots contributed to her self-taught ability of picking up precise skills behind the decks. Exceeding expectations every performance, she has been described as one of the hardest working DJs in Canada. Miss DJ Laela's talents go far beyond her ability to lay down tracks, as she has been known to surprise the crowd by throwing in her alluring 'Live Vocals' over her tracks.
She has supported MSTRKRFT, Sam La More (MOS Australia) and played alongside the likes of The Stafford Barothers (MOS Australia, Fox8 TV) and most recently Jamie Vale on a Red Bull Western Canada Tour. She also took the city of Victoria by storm on the main stage/venues at the 2009 & 2010 VEMF (Victoria Electronic Music Festivals), an annual summer festival with headliners DJ Dan, Donald Glaude and Starkillers to name a few.
Between the 2010 Winter Olympics/Paralympics she performed in Vancouver & Whistler playing some of the hottest venues including Barcelona (Vancouver's #1 voted Nightclub VNA 2010) and Gorgomish Afterhours, it was one of her favorite and most memorable tour experiences so far.
Every booking, Laela branches out further away each time in higher demand. Networking at the highest level whenever and where ever she is has become her signature promoting herself as an artist.
